It was previously reported that Showtime would be bringing back Twin Peaks, 25 years after the show’s end on CBS. Like many others, we used this GIF to stoke your hearts for the revival:
But now, it’s reported that David Lynch is not returning. Lynch would like you to know that this turn of events is Lynch’s decision.
This is sad news for a lot of Lynch fans (though I was never sold that a revival was a good idea for Twin Peaks).
Without Lynch, it’s sounding like the show is very much not alive. Rather than move on without him, Showtime is trying to woo him back. Good luck. Surely they have another million bucks to get him his vision of the screenplay?
