Readers may have noticed a byline recently disappeared from The Stake. Well, that is because one of our editors, Andrew DeYoung, has been deep in the weeds of revising a novel.
Congratulations are in order, as Andrew has sold his debut novel, The Girl From Beyond to Boyds Mills Press. The YA sci-fi novel will be published in 2016. Boyds Mills Press has also agreed to publish a second novel from Andrew in 2017.
The deal was announced in Publisher’s Weekly, which describes The Girl From Beyond as the “story of Matthew, a teen sent in search of a replacement for Earth to the planet Gle’ah, where he falls in love with the leader of a primitive tribe there.”
Well done Andrew. The Stake’s readers would like to join in the celebration.
