On September 28, The Heights theater will be showing Dr. Strangelove, the first film in their fall program, The Stanley Kubrick Experience.
Though never prolific-releasing only 16 films in a nearly fifty year career-Stanley Kubrick was nonetheless known as a meticulous filmmaker whose every picture-heck, every frame!-is a cinematic masterpiece. This obsessive filmmaker lived in near isolation in England, emerging in rare intervals to unleash another mind-bending classic that would challenge, infuriate, and amaze audiences in equal measure. The Heights is proud to present five of Kubrick‘s greatest films.
The program culminates in a 70mm presentation of 2001: A Space Odyssey, and if you have never had the opportunity to see 2001 in 70mm, make sure you do so.
